Redeveloping a site in a town is not easy, but coupled with listed buildings too, the Charing Cross project presented a unique set of obstacles to the design team.
Because of this, T&G were not only the designers for the permanent works, but also the temporary works, ensuring safe demolition of some existing buildings, whilst retaining others of historical importance.
The project culminated with two ground-floor retail units in addition to the existing supermarket, and an additional three storeys above providing Jersey with a new ninety-bed hotel.
