Set back into a steep côtil (hillside), construction could not start on site until stabilisation works had been completed, which themselves required significant temporary works to protect the properties and main road above the site from subsidence.
The four luxury houses themselves were designed with a steel deck solution on load-bearing blockwork to suitably frame large areas of glazing and sedum roofs.
T&G were also engaged to provide the drainage design for the site, which required a foul drainage by-pass for the properties above the côtil and a pump system to rejoin it to the existing foul sewer.
