An existing townhouse was demolished to make way for the construction of a new four-storey apartment block, with parking at ground floor. Over the parking area, we designed a reinforced concrete frame with a transfer slab to support three-storeys of a timber frame structure above. Temporary bracing of the surrounding buildings and roads to prevent any movement or subsidence and the design of a substantial raft slab foundation to support the building provided our team with some interesting challenges to overcome!.
T&G’s Imagineering team worked with the client to produce a 3D walkthrough of the finished building (including finishes, furniture, etc.) which could then be used to attract potential purchasers.
