T&G provided the structural details for the conversion of a horticultural packing shed into a dwelling with a contemporary flat roof extension.
The challenges included checking the adequacy of the existing structure to support new loading and ensuring adequate overall stability of the structure – this resulted in local underpinning of key masonry elements. A system of steel beams were installed to create a first floor structure and vaulted roof space.
